Stainless Concrete Screw
Stainless steel concrete screws are manufactured from 410 stainless steel and are coated with a silver Climaseal® high performance rust protector. This multi-layered coating is known to show no signs of red rust even after 2,000 hours in a salt spray bath. Stainless concrete screws come in one diameter (1/4") and are available in two head types- hex washer head and flat Phillips countersunk. Stainless steel concrete screws come in nine lengths ranging from 1-1/4" to 6". To determine the correct length of concrete screw to use for a specific application, add:
- Thickness of the material to be fastened
- Plus a minimum embedment of 1" and a maximum embedment of 1-3/4"
The size of the hole to be drilled is critical to proper installation. The 1/4" diameter concrete screw uses a 3/16" bit. The Phillips head utilizes a #3 bit tip and the hex head requires a 5/16" driver.
