Stainless Steel Concrete screw installationBefore installing Tapcon® screws, it is imperative to choose the correct size of screw as well as determine the appropriate embedment for safe installation. After installation, these screws are be removed and are reversible and can also be installed close to an unsupported edge. As with any anchoring or construction project, it is important to follow all installation and safety instructions to avoid any accidents. Always use the proper drill bit and follow all safety precautions.

To determine the correct length of stainless steel concrete screw to use for a specific application, add the thickness of the material to be attached (A) to the embedment into the base material (B). It is recommended that a minimum of 1" and a maximum of 1-3/4 " embedment are used. It is also very important that the hole be drilled a minimum of 1/4" deeper than the embedment of the screw. This will allow space for the concrete dust that is created by the threads cutting into the base material.
